So the hint thing is new to me, let's see if I can pull it off...
My name: 8 letters long, it's in the bible, and lots of people screw my name up by shortening it 3 letters and adding a y at the end.
Former Profession:I used to be in the biggest "gang" in the country.
Home Life: Most of my time is spent with a very small person who talks to much as well as with a very pretty lady.
Current Profession: My former profession pays for what I do now.
Hometown: I was born in a very cold place that is not in the "lower 48"
Current Location: Lots of corn and zero mountains
